IT'S ALIVE!

So yeeeeah. I loaded the dishwasher today...and we were out of dishwasher detergent so I put in Laundry detergent! Resourceful right? I though so till all the bubbles started oozing out on me. Perhaps it should be a crime to allow me to live on my own XD. Oh well, crime or not, at least I tried. Less than a month till DISNEY. Yeah baby.

Thanks for leaving me a comment! Best of luck on your CareerStart program...if you have any questions on the experience down there, feel free to ask and I'll try to help you out if I can....just yeah, don't mix up your detergents haha :) What's your arrival date?

You're not bugging me at all...I love talking about the CP? Your roommate situation will depend on a lot of variables, including if your work schedules vary or not, which they probably will. It's what you make of it. My first CP I had five roommates and am still friends with one of them. We did do parks a lot...the others just kinda did their own thing. My second college program I had one roommate (well, two, but at different times) and I'm still friends with both of them. We did parks together a lot and we're still friends.

It's what you make it out to be that ultimately determines not only if you will be friends with your roommates, but the program as a whole. My first CP I really backed myself into a corner and made myself hate where I worked, and eventually self-destructed and came home early. It was only two months back home that I realized the mistake I made. The second time I was there, I had a blast.

I find if you have a bad day, go watch fireworks. Any of the nighttime shows should bring a smile to your face, no matter how bad your day is. You get free admission to the parks: use it to your fullest, it's pretty sweet!

Any other questions feel free to ask...see ya real soon!

One thing I loved about the program, which I really didn't take advantage of, was the events Housing puts on for their CP's...although I did win Grocery Bingo once, so that was nice :)

In general, I just loved most of the people I met. You get to meet people from every background from all over, so that's pretty cool...

One thing you should be looking forward to is the holidays at the world. I've always loved Christmas, and I don't know if you've ever been down there in December, but there's so much amazing stuff in the parks in December.

Magic Kingdom: They do have the hard-ticket Very Merry Christmas party, which I did pay for once and is awesome, but if you're on a budget, they usually show the same shows, parades, fireworks the week of Christmas during regular hours. If you have little money and are willing to battle big crowds, you can see all of that for free Christmas week. I'd still definitely recommend the nighttime party...pretty awesome sitting on Main Street USA at night, with snow falling and hot chocolate in hand watching a Christmas Parade roll down.

Epcot: I didn't have much interest in the Candlelight Processional going into it, but it is definitely not to be missed. You may or may not believe in the Christmas story, but the show still moves you, with 400 singers singing traditional Christmas music, it's extremely powerful. The arches of winter leading to World Showcase at night are pretty cool, and the extra holiday finale to Illuminations is not to be missed as well.

Studios: Make sure you check out the Osborne Lights on the New York backlot! Again, it snows, and the lights are just incredible.

I haven't seen Animal Kingdom's christmas parade, so I can't comment on that.

If you're havin a rough time on the CP, just keep thinking about how awesome the holidays are in the parks....setting up begins as early as late August at Studios for the Osborne lights, so that should hype you up a little bit.

I think I forgot to ask you, what role did you ger selected for?
